Planned Maintenance for Your Equipment

Efficiently operating equipment is essential to any quality cleaning program. Repairs due to lack of proper machine maintenance and down time due to non-functioning equipment are always costly.

RoVic's Service Department, understanding how important it is to you to be able to rely on optimum performance from your machines, offers planned maintenance programs to help insure that your equipment is ready when you need it.

Experienced RoVic service technicians will inspect your machines on site and perform all manufacturer recommended maintenance on a regular basis. Programs are available for all types of major manufacturers' equipment from vacuums to ride-on scrubbers. For more information contact service manager Doug Heberger at dheberger@rovicinc.com or your RoVic sales rep.

Cleaning has Huge Impact on Health of Indoor Environment

Roger Parrott, president of RoVic Inc., recently attended a four day CIRI (Cleaning Industry Research Institute) conference in Washington, D.C. Dr. Stephanie Dancer, a microbiologist from Scotland, UK presented "Floor Wars - Better Methods to Improve Hospital Hygiene" as the keynote address. CIRI is the only independent, impartial institute involved in cleaning and building maintenance research to help improve indoor environmental quality (IEQ) for all types of buildings and facilities. By sponsoring unbiased technical research, CIRI promotes the best interests of the commercial and professional cleaning industries, as well as improves the quality of living for the general public.

Information collected and disseminated through CIRI-sponsored research will impact legislative discussions and decision-making, provide a scientific basis for innovative cleaning products and methods, and measure the effect of cleaning programs on IEQ.

RoVic has been a corporate member of CIRI since it inception in 2006. For more information on CIRI go to www.ciri-research.org.

RoVic Assists School District Green Committee

Gary Shapiro, a RoVic Sales Manager, is currently serving as a member of Region 10 School District's Green Committee, a group comprised of school administrators, teaching staff, facilities personnel, healthcare professionals and parents. The purpose of this committee is to analyze current levels of sustainability and implement additional "green" programs. RoVic and Region 10 staff recently conducted a system wide Green Audit as part of this process.

RoVic has several associates trained in performing Green Audits in a variety of settings including schools, hospitals and offices and working with management and staff from these buildings to understand audit results. A Green Audit is a great way to benchmark how "sustainable" your facilities cleaning program is. For more information contact Keith Mitcheltree at kmitcheltree@rovicinc.com
